Ms. Yvette, affectionately called "The Magician," has been a licensed cosmetologist for over 32 years. She holds two Associate of Science Degrees from Riverside Community College in Business Administration, one focused on Entrepreneurship and the other on Real Estate. Later, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from the University of Redlands. Starting her hair business at just 8 years old, she braided her relatives' and neighborhood friends' hair for $1 per braid. She styled large afros into cornrows for her uncles, cousins, and their friends, while the girls preferred designs with beads, puka shells, and other ornaments. With the growing demand for natural styles, she has rediscovered her passion for braiding creative looks and protective styles! Over the years, she has mastered the latest styles and trends, constantly innovating her techniques. Her current expertise lies in hair augmentation, extensions and enhancement, with a focus on hair care and health. Known for her ability to create fabulous looks, styles and trends, she thrives on hairstyle challenges. Ms. Yvette has also introduced a Head Spa to her salon, offering guests a serene atmosphere with hair and scalp treatments, relaxing massages, and foot baths. A true professional, she can make you look fabulous, feel amazing, and leave with a big smile on your face and in your heart. She credits God for blessing her hands and spirit.

Hey y'all, I’m Moninique Hicks. I’m a natural hairstylist who began my journey in Compton and later expanded my work to the Inland Empire (IE). I have been passionately doing hair for over 16 years now. I started off doing hair for children, and it has always been a true passion of mine. Working with hair has created incredible opportunities for me to pursue and follow my dreams. I absolutely enjoy every aspect of what I do. Currently, I’m based at Elysian Hair salon in Moreno Valley, and I also offer mobile hairstyling services for added convenience. My specialties include braids, crochet, and all-natural styling techniques. I’m confident in my ability to achieve almost any style I set my mind to. I also work very well with kids and children with disabilities, providing gentle and personalized care.
